1 .Introduction to Single-Phase Induction Motors Single-phase induction motors are designed to operate on single-phase AC power, typically available in residential and small business settings. They are preferred for applications where three-phase power is not an option and are commonly found in fans, pumps, and various household appliances. Rotor : Located inside the stator, the rotor is designed to rotate. It reacts to the magnetic field created by the stator winding. 3.
